A gentle and pawsitive approach to dog training.

I’m your trainer, Christy, and I believe that the most effective training is done when both the owner and the dog enjoy the process.

I have had the privilege of working with many different kind of dogs and families. I am passionate about dogs, and I love sharing my knowledge with my family, friends, and clients.

It's amazing to see the bond between a dog and his family grow through positive training.

Let’s get to work!

“Christy is nothing short of a miracle worker. We witnessed amazing progress after even just ONE visit, and got to see marked improvement with visitors after training with Christy.

Christy is amazing and is a wonderful teacher for both dog and human alike!”

A bit more about me…

My career with dogs started back in 1998, when I began working at a facility that did a little bit of everything: daycare, boarding, grooming, and training. It was the perfect crash course in the wonderfully weird world of dog behavior.

At the time, the dog training world was beginning to change. Many trainers were moving away from forceful techniques and toward force-free, science-based training methods that focus on teaching dogs what to do rather than punishing them for getting it wrong.

Because I learned during this transition, I was able to see both approaches firsthand. That experience helped shape my philosophy and strengthened my belief that gentler, positive methods create better results and stronger relationships between dogs and their people.

After all, training should build confidence, trust, and teamwork… not fear.

After more than two decades of working with dogs, I’m still fascinated by how they think, learn, and communicate. A good portion of my free time is spent reading books and articles on animal behavior and continuing my education by attending seminars taught by some of the most respected behaviorists, veterinarians, and trainers in the world.

Every new idea or technique is another tool I can bring back to the families and dogs I work with. Helping people better understand their dogs and build stronger relationships with them is truly the best part of what I do.
